Group Rentals

Are you seeking a venue for a corporate team building event, a birthday party, a baby shower or maybe you are just a group of friends wishing to try something new? Why not give lawn bowling a go?

 

Many groups have, and their fun lawn bowling tournaments have proved to be very successful. Some have even enjoyed it so much here at Kerrisdale Lawn Bowling Club (KLBC) that they have turned their tournament into an annual event!

 

KLBC has a comfortable clubhouse located in a beautiful setting, nestled in the corner of Elm Park, just off 41st Avenue between Elm and Larch streets. Free parking is conveniently available on the roads surrounding the park, making it very easy to park and play.

 

We welcome rental groups for a fun bowling experience. Our fee is $40 per person for new rentals. The rental includes equipment and instruction.  The maximum time for a rental is four hours.

This season, we are limiting the total number of rentals we can accommodate to 16 and no more than two rental sessions per week.

 

We ask that all of your group who will be bowling to wear flat, soft-soled shoes to protect the bowling greens from damage.  The minimum group size is 10 people. The maximum number of bowlers that can be accommodated is 64.

 

We do not provide food, alcohol or barbecue facilities but renters are welcome to bring their own snacks.  There is free parking space right outside our gate where a food truck can be located, or some groups have chosen to arrange for independent caterers to provide the food for them. If you are serving alcohol, you are required to obtain a special event permit (SEP) from the Liquor Distribution Branch. This can be obtained online at specialevents.bcldb.com. The server will need to take the course before purchasing the SEP and KLBC requires the SEP permit to be shown before the day of the event.

 

Eating and drinking while bowling is permitted but food or drinks cannot be carried onto the greens.  Food must be served on paper plates and drinks in paper or plastic cups.

 

If you would like to book an event, please let us know the date and the number of people you expect to attend.  We also need to know at what time you would like the event to be held. The latest booking we take in the evening is 4-8 pm.

 

We cannot take payment through debit or credit cards, but will accept cheques or cash.
